FEWA LAKE

Fewa lake lies in Pokhara of Nepal. It is also called Phewa lake.It is the second largest lake in Nepal.Phewa Lake is also used for commercial fishing. The holy Barahi mandir (temple) is at the Fewa Lake.Phewa Lake was slightly enlarged by damming. It is in danger of silting up because of the inflow during the monsoon. The outflowing water is partially used for hydro power. The dam collapsed in the late 1970s and it was rebuilt by the Chinese. The power plant is located about 100 m (330 ft) below at the bottom of the Phusre Khola gorge. It is lovely place to visit. This has been the main attraction place of Nepal for Tourists. We can see Fish tail mountains from Fewa Lake and sunset. When in the day sky reflected in the Fewa Lake it seems like heaven. We can play boat over here and have lot of fun.
