It does not require trekking or mountaineering experience. Although the terrain is not difficult, some vigorous hiking experience is useful. And it does not require any technical experience; only that you be in good physical conditioning and be able to hike for 4-6 hours over hilly terrain with a light day pack. You need to have special trekking permit to enter Mustang area. The permit fee is US $ 700 per person for a period of 10 days or US $ 910 for thirteen days itinerary. Counting starts from Kagbeni once you enter restricted area. For any extra days in restricted area you have to pay US $70 per day.
